Duties in Process Engineering include, quoting custom metal stamping products and determining best process routing. Create CAD drawings for customer approval. Create Quality Inspection items and Control Plans. Creating Laser cutting geometry and Laser programs. Complete process time studies and make recommendations for process improvements. Monitor and track tooling and fixture completion due dates, to coincide with production due dates.

Duties in Toolroom included, sharpening and maintaining progressive dies, blank dies and form dies. Trouble shooting and repairing dies on the press shop floor. Experience with in die sensing. Assist with implementing in die spray lubrication system. Build and Assemble new tooling.

Duties in Tooling Design included, designing Metal Stamping Progressive dies, Compound Blank dies, and Forming dies. Using CAD software Autocad Mechanical Desktop and Unigraphics to create solid models, assemblies and drawings for the tool build. Creating a Bill Of Materials and ordering required items from the BOM. Managing the progress of the tool build with the Toolmakers and ensure the tooling completion date is on target.

Apprenticeship for Tool & Die Maker
Attended George Brown College during my Apprenticeship program. Received my Tool and Die Certificate in August 1989. Duties included building of progressive tooling, sharpen and maintain tooling. Programmed and operated wire EDM machine. Lead hand position in ToolRoom. Tooling and Fixture designer.
